Campus BLAST Recognized

Campus BLAST is a venue where leaders and believers take action in proclaiming God's love and God's truth in campuses.

This year is the second time for the Campus BLAST to file an application for organization recognition. Amazingly, how God moved that the the organization's approval was push through by the Harvest House youth leaders efforts headed by the organization's president, Michelle. Finally! the Harvest House Campus BLAST is now a recognized organization in the said university. God is so good!

Some of the organization's current activities are table campaigning and cell grouping. Every Thursday, we have joint cells in the campus inviting all other active cells to have one big cell blast.

We are praying for more souls to come to the Cross through this organization. To God be all the glory

Newly Opened Campus BLAST Ministry

Last October 18, 2010 - Monday. During the 3rd Week of our Conquest. One of the Youth Leaders of Harvest House City Church, Ryan, together with Nikko and Xander took courage to go and pray for the Principal of Sta. Ana National High School personally. Before they went, they soaked in prayer for about 30 minutes and went ahead trusting God's empowerment and intervention.

As they entered the campus, they were shocked with the students attitude. Every time they ask for direction, they receive sarcastic answers. But it did not stop them. As they reached the principals office, the secretary welcomed them but with a little bit of sour attitude. One of them almost gave up and and almost decided to go home instead, but God is really so good that it did not happen because a few moments after, the principal noticed the 3 young guys outside his office, so he asked his secretary about the 3 and what are their purpose of coming. The secretary then went outside and approached Ryan, Nikko and Xander to let the in. And after that, God's amazing power manifested. When Ryan opened up about doing a cell group inside the campus and sharing God's Word to the students; all to their surprise that the Principal responded in a very positive manner and said "that is exactly what we need in this campus". To that, the 3 boys almost exclaimed with joy as the principal was saying the line. After a few moments of conversation, the campus ministry in Sta. Ana National High School was approved and the 3 young courageous guys prayed for the Principal , laying their hands to Him. The Principal was so blessed and wanted to set an appointment so that the faculty members be prayed as well.

God is really great! Glory be all to Him!

These are just one of the results if we will take courage in obeying God's commands for us.

BLASTERS invading UNIVERSITIES

The Campus BLAST is now in University of Mindanao. The BLASTERS are now set to reach out students in the biggest university in Davao. This coming September 28 to 29, 2010 (Tuesday and Wednesday), the BLAST ministry will be having its first Ministry exhibit at the Main campus. This is a very great opportunity to share the vision and mission of the BLASTERS.

The same is happening in Davao's state university, the University of South Eastern Philippines. The BLASTERS are now renewing the application of the BLAST organization inside the university and strengthening it more so that more and more students would have the opportunity to know Jesus. A very great blessing that had happen that we were able to reach out one of the teachers inside the university, Mrs. Kathleen Cedeño, and now helping the organization to be more established. Mrs. Kathleen is now churching at Harvest House and she was caught by the vision. She is also attending one of our women's cell group.

God is really moving! To God be all the glory..Go for more BLASTERS!

Campus BLAST @ Leon Garcia National Highschool

Harvest House City Church began to minister to the people in downtown area of
Davao City, reaching and leading people to the Love of Christ. God led us to work as a Campus Ministry particularly in Leon Garcia National High School located in the innermost part of the so-called “Village of Death” because it is known of its gang riots, street killings, and unexplained deaths. God impressed in our hearts that if we could reach out youth inside the campus, tell them about Jesus who cares for them and loves them unchangingly, this could change the future of the village as the youth grow up in the knowledge of a God that can change circumstances.

Ken Jacob, Alice and Vernie took the challenge to go to the said campus. One afternoon, the three of them went with courage even though they don’t know anyone inside the campus. The three of them jus relied on the leading of God to them. As they went inside, the students are rushing towards the gate because it is the end of the class. So Ken Jacob suggested that they would just go home since all the students are going home now. But Alice noticed few students smoking cigarettes just right outside the campus. Alice said that they looked like addicts. So the three decided to go over to them and ask some information about the school. At first, they are scared to approach the students because of their looks. As they asked the students and mentioned about the campus ministry that they are planning to do inside the campus, the three was shocked because of the response of the students. The students said they want to be part of the ministry and they want to know about who Jesus is. They continued on asking is Jesus can solve their problems in their family and situation in life. They said that they are hopeless because they live in the village of death and doubted if someone would care for them. But God is so good that He lead the Harvest House Youth leaders to this place and shared the unconditional love of Jesus to the people that thought that no one cares for them.

Now, these students are now part of the youth the goes to church at Harvest House City Church and having the joy in fellowshipping with the new found family. They are now one of the students that helps Ken, Alice and Bem to continue the ministry in Leon Garcia national High School to win more souls for God’s glory.

We will never stop doing things, great or small for our Lord. Quitting to serve God is not in our vocabulary. Sharing the Gospel with no fear because this is what we are called for. This is one of the purpose why We found our salvation in Christ and that is to make Him known of the great Love that He sacrificed while being crucified on the cross.
